Submersible to 80 feet, adjustable red dot brightness levels with six settings for daylight, four night visions settings, and one extra bright, four Minute of Angle (MOA) dot for quick target acquisition is compatible with night vision, includes 3-volt 2L76 battery, rings are not included but accepts any 30mm rings.

aimpoint micro t1

The Micro sights offer the same battle-proven ruggedness of full-sized Aimpoint sights– able to perform under extreme conditions while adding negligible size and weight to your equipment. It weighs just 3.7 ounces (105 grams) including the supplied rail interface. It sits lower on the rail than other Aimpoint sights and can be added to any rifle, handgun, shotgun or bow having a Weaver or Picatinny rail. The T-1 is shown at right on a .30 M1 Carbine with the UltiMAK M6-B Optic Mount– a very nice combination. Aimpoint T1 Micro on the Auto Ordnance .30 M1 Carbine Aimpoint Micro Installed on Rock River Arms Tactical Carry Handle The performance of the Micro T-1 is optimized for use with all generations of night vision devices (NVDs), but is especially suited for 3rd generation night vision technology. Aimpoint’s unique band-pass coating on the reflective lens reflects select frequencies of red light at near 100% efficiency in order to give the highest possible dot brightness, while transmitting nearly 100% of light in the Infrared and near-infrared part of the spectrum to provide the clearest, brightest image possible when used with a 3rd generation NVD. With 4 NVD-compatible brightness settings and 8 naked-eye settings including one extra-bright setting, the Micro T-1 is ready for use around the clock. Shown at left is the Micro T-1 on a Rock River Arms "Tactical Carry Handle". This arrangement co witnesses the iron sights, even with the rear on the lowest setting. Aimpoint sights are designed to allow a shooter to do what comes naturally – keep both eyes open while focusing on a target. This method of sighting maintains the shooter’s full field of view, greatly enhancing situational awareness while maximizing target acquisition speed. Thanks to the parallax-free design, the dot follows the movement of the user’s eye while remaining fixed on the target, eliminating any need for centering. Further, the sight allows for unlimited eye-relief. Technical Specifications for T-1 Optical Data: System: Passive Red Dot Collimator Reflex Optical Magnification: 1X Eye Relief: Unlimited. aimpoint h1

The T1 is hard anodized which gives it a more rugged, matte finish, it has night vision compatibility (meaning it has some extra low brightness settings and the lens coatings are designed to pass longer wavelengths) and a Picatinny rail interface. The H1 has standard anodizing so it’s more of a satin finish with a tad less resistance to scratching, no NV compatibility features, and a Weaver interface. In use, unless you want to use it with a night vision device, you won’t notice any difference other than the texture of the anodizing and the fact that the lowest brightness settings are usually too low to ever see the dot. I’ve used them both on the same rails, and I’d take either one. The T1′s hard anodized finish looks nicer to my eyes however. As for price, you’d have to ask Aimpoint. These sights are of very high quality and ruggedness, and they’re so efficient with the power that even the little button cells they use get years of constant run time on a single cell. The downsides: they come only with bikini style lens covers. Other companies, like GG&G for example, are making solutions for that. The Micros don’t accept the KillFlash anti-reflection devices. I’d say we sell about one KillFlash to 10 or so of the regular Comp sights. Something like that, so the lack of that option wouldn’t be an issue for most people. The main reason to go with a Micro for me is weight. Even with the supplied mount, they’re several ounces lighter than the regular Comp sights alone, and of course they take up less room. A secondary reason is that they sit just a little bit lower on the rail, and that’s a benefit on some weapons, like AKs, M-14s, Mini-14s, and M1 Carbines. On an AR this matters not at all, since you have to add height either way.

Aimpoint Scopes

Based in the Northern nation of Sweden, Aimpoint is a worldwide and well-respected leader in the production of tactical scopes and other optics for use in tandem with a wide variety of firearms. They are best known for being the originator of the ground-breaking, widely used red dot sighting technology that is now an indispensible staple in the world of firearms and is in use by not only civilians for hunting and sport shooting purposes, but also by law enforcement officials and military personnel to help protect and serve. In 1997, the United States Army made Aimpoint was the first ever recipient of a multi-year contract for a sighting system that involved their innovative red dot sighting technology. Ever since then, Aimpoint has provided military troops and Special Forces teams all over the world from the United States, to France, to Denmark with over half a million high quality sights that utilize ground-breaking technology to get the job done. Aimpoint sights have also become the standard as far as chosen optical sights used by the majority of NATO countries. Red dot sights, also known as reflex sights, utilize the used of illuminated reticles that often take the form of red dots. As with other similar scopes designed to help a marksmen lock in on a target for a more precise and accurate shot, red dot sights place the reticle on the same visual plane as the object being targeted. However, unlike these other scopes, red dot scopes do not magnify the target, thus eliminating the need to worry about eye relief or parallax. This enables the shooter to focus on the target with both eyes open at any distance from the sight that is comfortable, allowing the benefits of an unlimited field of view to come into play and shave valuable seconds off of the gunman’s response time. Also, since Aimpoint sights are parallax free, the aiming process is further simplified and made second nature by the fact that the marksman does not need to worry about centering the red dot inside the sight itself. The minute you see the dot inside your Aimpoint sight, you’re ready to make an accurate shot. Aimpoint sights help simplify and streamline the process of aiming and locking in on a target even further by adding quality and clarity to the mix as well. Aimpoint produces a high-quality product that allows for the highest transmission of light possible, meaning that targets are crisp, clear, and bright with a minimum of distortion making it even easier to cut through the usual complication and get a clean, accurate shot. Another plus point of using an Aimpoint sight is that it can be used under any lighting conditions from bright sunlight to dark. They are also waterproof and durable enough to be used under any weather conditions, so no matter where your sport takes you, an Aimpoint sight will still be able to get the job done regardless.

eotech 556

The new 556 has been developed to optimize the functionality of the HWS. The buttons have been moved from the back to the left side for instant access, allowing a magnifier, night vision, or a back up iron sight to fit closely to the HWS body. This new button position allows the user to operate the HWS function switches easier than ever before. Additionally, a portion of the front base has been raised to allow the sight to fit over standard hand guards found on many M-4 or M-16 style weapons. Uses the standard EOtech reticle (65 MOA circle / 1 MOA dot) The EOtech 556 is compatable to use with night vision equipment. Takes CR123 lithium batteries (qyt 2) Features * Buttons on left side to work specifically with NV or magnifiers * CR123 Lithium Battery model * 65 MOA / 1 MOA dot * Compatible with Gen I-IV Night Vision Systems (tandem operation) * Raised 7mm base compaired to 512 and 552 models

The original of the paperwork, particularly any that have tax stamps on them (Form 1 or 4) should be kept in a safe place. ATF can demand to see the form (see below on your 4th amendment rights). On a tax paid transfer, ATF puts a tax stamp, like a postage stamp (or like the one that caused the American colonists to take up arms), on the document. You paid $200 (or $5) for it, and it is worth that. It is unwise to lose the original form. They should be kept in a safe deposit box. Tax exempt forms (Form 2, 3, 5, 6, 10) have no tax stamp, and a copy of the form from ATF, should the original be lost, will be fine. ATF can give you a new tax stamp should you lose one, but expect a hard time, and they have discretion in doing it. It is not unheard of for ATF to have no record in their computer of a weapon registered to you. The paperwork can avoid a lot of hassles. Additionally, if the gun in question is a machine gun, not having the paperwork can lead to being charged with a violation of 18 USC sec. 922(o). A federal circuit court of appeals has ruled (U.S. v. Just, 74 F.3d 902 (8th Cir. 1996)) that sec. 922(o) prohibits possessing all machine guns, and it is an affirmative defense to such a charge that the weapon was legally possessed before it took effect. It is up to the defendant to prove such a defense, but usually by a lower evidentiary standard than the government needs to prove to show a criminal violation (usually preponderance of the evidence versus beyond a reasonable doubt). It is not up to the government to prove the weapon was not registered, for a charge under sec. 922(o). If you don’t have the paperwork, and it isn’t in ATF’s computer, (it is likely they will check, even though they don’t have to prove non- registration, they don’t want someone to wave a registration form in their face during a trial) you can have a serious problem.

eotech xps

Well folks, thought i’d update my experience with my xps – and it aint looking so good. The optic is a nice unit and holds zero and all – however, mine only went about 18-20 hours before the battery took a shit. And here i thought this model with the cr123 battery was suppose to have a longer battery life. Hell, my N cell lasts longer than that. I put a new battery in it and will be keeping track of how many hours are on it. Maybe the factory supplied battery was faulty – yeah right. This was my last ditch effort to keep buying into eotechs. I like the circle dot set up on the eotechs (a lot) but if this new battery dies again – i’m switching out all my eotechs to aimpoints. The aimpoints never die even when you leave them on for days / weeks / months at a time. I’m having a hard time anymore trusting eotechs to be there when i need them most. Reply With Quote
