Aimpoint ml3

Like the CompM3, the CompML3 features our breakthrough Advanced Circuit Efficiency Technology (ACET) that gives the sight unparalleled battery life and ease of use. Built primarily for use in daylight and in low light conditions for law enforcement and military applications, the CompML3 will hold up under the roughest physical handling and most severe weather conditions. It is the perfect choice for professionals, hunters and sport shooters who don’t need night vision device compatibility but want an extremely tough and reliable sight. For night vision compatibility we recommend the CompM3. The CompML3 comes with a replaceable outer black rubber cover, which protects it from scratching and adds an additional stealth factor. The outer cover is also available in Dark Earth Brown… perfect camo for use in the desert and in the jungle.Click here for more info on the covers. aimpoint h1

The T1 is hard anodized which gives it a more rugged, matte finish, it has night vision compatibility (meaning it has some extra low brightness settings and the lens coatings are designed to pass longer wavelengths) and a Picatinny rail interface. The H1 has standard anodizing so it’s more of a satin finish with a tad less resistance to scratching, no NV compatibility features, and a Weaver interface. In use, unless you want to use it with a night vision device, you won’t notice any difference other than the texture of the anodizing and the fact that the lowest brightness settings are usually too low to ever see the dot. I’ve used them both on the same rails, and I’d take either one. The T1′s hard anodized finish looks nicer to my eyes however. As for price, you’d have to ask Aimpoint. These sights are of very high quality and ruggedness, and they’re so efficient with the power that even the little button cells they use get years of constant run time on a single cell. The downsides: they come only with bikini style lens covers. Other companies, like GG&G for example, are making solutions for that. The Micros don’t accept the KillFlash anti-reflection devices. I’d say we sell about one KillFlash to 10 or so of the regular Comp sights. Something like that, so the lack of that option wouldn’t be an issue for most people. The main reason to go with a Micro for me is weight. Even with the supplied mount, they’re several ounces lighter than the regular Comp sights alone, and of course they take up less room. A secondary reason is that they sit just a little bit lower on the rail, and that’s a benefit on some weapons, like AKs, M-14s, Mini-14s, and M1 Carbines. On an AR this matters not at all, since you have to add height either way.

eotech magnifier

Does anyone have any thoughts on the round vs. rectangular field of view of the Eotech magnifier? Never having looked thru one my first inclination is to match the rectangle to the rectangle of the Eotech. The cost, however, is a huge jump. The other difference is round = 3x and rectangular = 4x but I don’t think that makes much difference to me. Thanks for any input. __________________ G19 G19 G30 AR15 gordo is offline Reply With Quote gordo View Public Profile Find More Posts by gordo Old 08-21-2009, 09:13 #2 edrobert Senior Member edrobert’s Avatar Join Date: Dec 2006 Posts: 1,980 I like the square view…..don’t like the price though! Looked at a clone at the local fun show this past weekend and was quite impressed with the glass. I think I’ll pick one up at the October show cause I can’t see spending $400-700 on a fixed power magnifier. __________________ "Go Hoos!" edrobert is offline Reply With Quote edrobert View Public Profile Find More Posts by edrobert Old 08-21-2009, 09:25 #3 Nytemare Senior Member Nytemare’s Avatar Join Date: Apr 2009 Posts: 606 Man honestly if you can find a good clone for a lot cheaper get it. Thats what I think I’m going to do. If the magnifier goes down, I’m good with the irons at distance so its not that big of a deal. I take that since your putting a EOtech on there your building this for CQB, so the magnifier isn’t going to be used a lot. __________________ Glocks & AR’s:cool: Black Rifle Club Member #2311 I Dream In Sight Picture Semper FI, Til I Die! Have started shooting 2 gun matches and a lot of the stages are close quarters, but the few stages that start out long leave me seeing a blurred target and I need some magnification and the ability to remove the magnifier between stages. My life is certainly not going to depend on any of this gear. If clones do the job and can be removed without a lot of trouble maybe that is the way to go. __________________ G19 G19 G30 AR15 gordo is offline Reply With Quote gordo View Public Profile Find More Posts by gordo Old 08-21-2009, 11:51 #5 Nytemare Senior Member Nytemare’s Avatar Join Date: Apr 2009 Posts: 606 Yea I understand man. Eotech 557

The new 557.AR223 has been developed to optimize the functionality of the HWS. The buttons have been moved from the back to the left side for instant access, allowing a magnifier, night vision, or a back up iron sight to fit closely to the HWS body. This new button position allows the user to operate the HWS function switches easier than ever before. Additionally, a portion of the front base has been raised to allow the sight to fit over standard hand guards found on many M-4 or M-16 style weapons. The 557.AR223 is configured with a new ballistic matching reticle image for the M4 carbine. The battle tested circle/dot reticle will be offered along with a series of 1 MOA aiming dots that are vertically aligned and calibrated specifically for the ballistic drop of .223 caliber ammunition. The reticle provides 4 aiming dots for target distances of 0-300m, 400m, 500m, and 600m. The use of a magnifier is stongly recommended. * Buttons on left side to work specifically with NV or magnifiers * AA Battery model (supports Lithium or Alkaline) * Ballistic reticle specific to .223 caliber munitions * Compatible with Gen I-III+ Night Vision Systems (tandem operation) * Raised 7mm base

All Butler Creek .920 bull barrels include a Bentz Match chamber. Blued barrels are made from 4150 Carbon steel, while Stainless models are crafted from 416 stainless steel. Each barrel lot is test fired to ensure consistent accuracy and uniform performance. The Featherweight barrels continue to dominate the replacement market for accurate field and off-hand shooting improvement. They are very competitively priced and offer a lot of accuracy for your shooting pleasure. Featherweight and Ultra-Lite barrels typically shoot 3/4″ groups at 50 yards with quality target ammo. Featherweight and the new Ultra-Lite barrel is a patent pending process that combines a stainless steel muzzle and breach with an advanced macro-fiber blend with an especially strong inner core. This process is combined with a hand cut Bentz Match chamber and recessed target crown.

In short, these are serious penalties. NFA regs are a pain, and in my opinion, contrary to the Constitution. Ignore them, and get caught, and you will pay a very high price.
