The optics, quite frankly, were near indistinguishable from each other, and the Vortex Optics‘s had a much better warranty. So when a ~350$ pair of binoculars is competing with a 1750+ dollar pair (I got mine when the EL’s were JUST (lol) 1450$), there’s a big, 1400$ problem . Now who knows, the Swaros might have a 1 or 2% edge on optical clarity, but keep in mind that the human eye can generally only detect differences of at least 3% or more. Assuming that the Swaro’s do have that 1 or 2% edge (and they may not), why pay 1400$ for a difference you can’t even detect?? You can even compare the specs online, and Vortex Optics is the clear winner; the Fury has a closer focus, a slightly broader FOV, and is even close to 2 oz. lighter! Sure, the Swaro’s have “Swarobright”…well, the Vortex Optics‘s have their XR lense coatings.

For the LE or Military professional Pro Ears are not only vital at the range but also in tactical situations where having the ability to increase hearing protection up to 8 times normal can mean the difference between life and death. For the hunter or naturalist wearing Pro Ears enables you to be aware of game movements before they come into view. And our new

Although the company invests in engineering and administrative controls to reduce noise levels, and continues to look for ways to decrease the exposure in the work environment, hearing protection protection is still needed for many workers. Meanwhile, the local climate, which generates both extreme heat and humidity, often makes the wearing of earmuffs uncomfortable. The solution, Dillard decided, was to

There really isn’t a bad SKS Rifle Stocks unless dome dumb hick dragged it through the TAPCO catalog. They are fun guns to shoot. Every gun owner should have one.

$295 is pretty fair in today’s market for a norinco. You can find them for slightly less, but it will take lots of time and persistence to save $30-$50.

Remington 870 Stocks

It seems so, butSpringfieldmakes and sells a huge amount of M1A’s and for the number they sell the numbers with problems are small and the problems are mostly small like bad extractors. The last years batch of extractors SA has had made for them have definitely not been up to snuff, but that’s one part and a very minor part too. People replace it with another and the problem is fixed. It takes 2 minutes to replace it also and even usgi extractors for M14′s only last so long. If your truely interested in one than you should go to the best place on the net to learn about them and from the most knowlegdeable people with quite a few top notch armorers in the mix. The M14 Firingline forum. M14 FFSpringfieldcan make one hell of a rifle and you’ll find many many happy owners that would trust the rifle with their life no problem, me included. killswitch1982 8/1/2007 12:54:38 AM I love my Springy!

I was still able to torque them back down about a quarter turn after each shooting session. CLIFF NOTES: Mesa Tactical SCREWS ARE NOT HARD ENOUGH, AND ARE PRONE TO DEFORMING UNDER NORMAL USE. REPLACING SCREWS WITH GOOD QUALITY STAINLESS STEEL OR HARDENED CARBON-STEEL [ METRIC M4x10MM FLATHEAD SCREWS ] SHOULD FIX THIS PROBLEM FOREVER! <– (needs to be verified) To Mesa Tactical: If your reading this, im very interested in your responce to this. I know you guys make good quality stuff, and i know this wasn’t an intentional problem. Obviously the whole "screws are screws" mindset is not true, and i think this is a problem serious enough to warrent being addressed. Im not trying to bash your company at all! I would be very happy, as well as MANY people from that original thread, if you could at least admit this may be an issue. I dont know if this is one batch of screws, or the entire shipment, but if pretty much EVERYONE in that thread has had a problem with the screws backing out (and to the point of one guy’s side saddle flying off), then i think its a big problem. If cost is the issue…. I dont care if i have to spend 10 extra dollars for you guys to include HIGH GRADE STAINLESS STEEL THREADS THAT WONT SOFTEN OR LOOSEN OUT! Thats a GOOD thing to advertise! I really hope you guys make the right decision to fix this problem! or at least do some serious looking into it! As for the rest of you guys: I’ll post an update when i get the new screws, and unload some ammo, and see if they stay solid! F22_RaptoR 6/14/2008 4:27:44 AM Bump for my bed time, and for the morning/day crew. F22_RaptoR 6/15/2008 12:36:48 AM Mmmkay, last bump….. I guess nobody caes about this anymore cms81586 6/15/2008 6:10:10 PM I do. Thanks for the info. I was going to completely pass up the Mesa rail but if they get the screw situation straightened out i’ll consider them again. I’m one customer that they’ll never get if it’s not straightened out. I’m not spending this much money just to buy new screws. CMS Tango7 6/15/2008 11:03:43 PM Good info, but I’ll admit I’m surprised. I know lots of folks on Teh Intarweb the run Mesas, and you’re the first example of this I’ve heard of. Can’t help but wonder if you got a bad batch; they should make it right however. Very well could be.

When I shoulder the gun the sights are right where I need them :) As far as fit around the trigger, it is tight, and a little hard to get the trigger group back in when cleaning the gun. I also swapped the original grip into the Mesa Stock. I liked the shape of it better, as the Mesa grip was boxed off at the rear. MDracer76, You were right; the drop on the Urbino M2 stock is virtually the same as Benelli AccessoriesOEM tactical stock which is almost 2" longer. If you throw the Benelli M2 Accessories with Urbino stock up to your shoulder with your eyes closed, you are looking directly thru the sights when you open your eyes.

The Trijicon was both smaller, and had a nicer dot, but was more expensive. Then I compared the Trijicon dot to the (much larger) aimpoint Micro. The Micro won with its beautiful adjustable dot. Its also more expensive than the Trijicon … DevL 9/5/2008 11:34:49 AM RDP does not work AT ALL in the dark… if its dark the unit is OFF. In contrast the Dr Optic which uses the same mount size and is the same size in general is always on even in the dark and still usable. The new model LED’s are now (have been) working in very low light, NOT complete darkness. Hope this helps. GLOCKshooter 9/7/2008 4:55:49 AM What good is a red dot in total darkness? In total darkness you could not see your target, let alone identify it.
